Dataset Description:
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Household Debt and Credit (HHDC) dataset is derived from a nationally representative sample of Equifax credit report data and provides quarterly data on U.S. consumer debt balances, delinquencies, and credit conditions across mortgage, auto, student, and credit card debt. Used in Berger et al. (2024, Journal of Political Economy) to analyse credit card lending patterns for consumers and small businesses during normal times and the COVID-19 crisis.
